According to the department’s document issued on December 12, the incident was partly the fault of the Mrs. World 2013’s organizing board, who sent a letter of apology to the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism right after the pageant to explain that the misspelling was unexpected and they didn’t mean to insult anyone.
Moreover, the Performing Arts Department identified that the incident was also caused by the carelessness of contestant Trần Thị Quỳnh and CIAT, the company that sent Quỳnh to the contest.
The company is required to seriously perceived the problem and consider it a lesson to learn from.
